Technology also evolves at a high pace nowadays than it did years ago when it took lots of time for advancements in technology to happen. Since the invention of the internet and the wide use of computers everywhere, it has made it necessary for teachers to incorporate such technology into the classroom. Classroom technology carries many advantages with it because it reduces the workload of the teacher and student. For example, it is easy to store information on a computer for easy reference later than it is to store bulky printed copies.
Classroom technology affects education in positive ways. For example, the use of computers makes it easier for students to research information for they have lots of it available on the internet. It is far much faster, simpler and therefore better to get it there than from the library or from encyclopedias. Students do not need to memorize many facts for they can readily get the information from the internet when necessary.
The other good effect of classroom technology is that it makes classroom interaction possible. For example, the use of technology such as Microsoft Office applications like PowerPoint allows students to work in groups thereby getting room for discussion and this can enhance how much they understand in class.
Culture as such is associated with the general psychology of our society and school forms a part of the same. With changing times, we have seen change in the culture and technology has made that change very apparent and visible.
School culture in particular has to be seen as a continuous interaction of schoolteachers and administrators for discussing the evolution of new trends in education. This has to be kept in line with the changes, which we see in the technology all over us. These discussions must result in a new improved curriculum, incorporating the technological advancement, as such. This will definitely result in a better pupil awareness and performance.
The school culture has to be based on mutual respect for the teachers and pupils, in its proper sense. A pupil has to show respect for his or her teachers, while the teachers have to be considerate to the psychology of the growing students, in line with their academic and extra circular activities.
As we have academic culture, so we have the Athletic culture also which deals mostly with extra circular activities. A student’s talent has to be judged keeping this in view for placing him or her in a category, which the student finds more interesting. Development of sports activities and participation in such events does help the school culture to improve a lot.
